Udon noodles are the thick, flat noodles that are commonly found in Japanese soup dishes, as well as a few plate-based dishes. They are made from wheat, and absorbent, taking on the flavour of the ingredients around them. These Udon Noodles from Clearspring are packed in 3 ribbon-tied servings for ease of measuring.
Udon noodles are most commonly used in soup: simply add to the boiling soup about 8 minutes before then end. Alternatively, boil for 6-8 minutes in water, then drain and serve with stir-fries.
